Update your Contact Information

For Rapid Communication Canada, Outreach Updates, Elan Vital Canada and local city lists

Once you have subscribed to Rapid Communication Canada, updating your information and message preferences is easy and you can change it as often as you like. All the lists above will be updated automatically except for local city lists which may take a few weeks.

Changing your email?

  1. Open a recent Rapid Communication Canada message which was sent to your old email address (the one you are switching from).

  2. Click the link on this line at the bottom of the recent message: "To change your message preferences click here." Your current information in the system will appear. NOTE: If someone else's email address appears – go to Option 2 below.

  3. Change the email (and other info or preferences if you wish) and then

  4. Click "submit" and you are all done.

  5. HERE'S A TIP: Make sure emails from canadacommunications@telus.net are not identified as "spam" "bulk" or "junk" by your internet provider's spam filter.

NOTE: The OPT OUT option (at the bottom of a Rapid Communication message) is NOT RECOMMENDED unless you wish to stop communications from all lists to that email address. If you have OPTED OUT by mistake you can re-subscribe using the Rapid Communication Canada form.

Changing other contact details or message preferences? You have 2 choices: If you are keeping the same email but need to change part or all of your contact information:

Option 1

  1. Open a recent Rapid Communication message which was sent to your old email address (the one you are switching from).

  2. Click the link on this line at the bottom of the recent message: "To change your message preferences click here."  Your current information in the system will appear.
    NOTE: If someone else's email address appears – go to Option 2 below.

  3. Change only the info or preferences you want changed and then

  4. Click "submit" and you are all done.

Option 2

Fill in the entire Rapid Communication form again, adding your new information. Be sure to fill in the entire form each time you update details or preferences!

Receive Rapid Communications at two or more separate email addresses?

Subscribe to Rapid Communication Canada using an additional email address. You will now have two profiles in the system. (You can have as many as you want)

  1. Fill in the entire Rapid Communication form using your second email address.

  2. Only fill in your email preferences – not your address, postal and phone number. See note below.

IMPORTANT SUGGESTION re updating your contact information when you have 2 or more emails – Use your primary email to enter your address, postal code and phone number and your secondary emails only for the EMAIL NOTICES part of the form. That way you don't have to update address and phone # etc. twice.
